Jeepney

The picture you have seen above is called jeepney in the Phillipines. This is the mose popular means of public transportation. They were originally made from US military jeeps left over from World War II and are well known for their flamboyant decoration and crowded seating. They have also become a symbol of Philippine culture

Jeepneys can take people to anywhere that a boat cannot take them. The unique thing about jeepneys is that no jeepney is exactly the same as another. Each jeepney is a testament to the artistic ability of the designer assigned to it. It always has decorations with different and bright colors, illustrations and anything that came to the mind of an artist.

Looking at this picture makes me think that i am in the Philippines. I used to ride them everyday going to school or in the cities. Truly its fun..i just realized it now. How i wish i can ride a jeepney right now!!

Nice jeepney pic!Yes,i agree with u --- jeepney is a symbol of Philippine ingenuity;a symbol of our country. And your pic?it also evokes how overpopulated our country is!Funny, isn't it?but it's always happy to be home! This is our country and we always like to come back.
By the way,if want to exchange link, please let me know.I always appreciate people who are friendly enough to include me in their blog roll.Cheers!
